About Us
Sarah Logan, Director
Sarah is the Director of Msasa Consulting. She has extensive experience working with on issues of state fragility and with governments of countries experiencing fragility, conflict, and transition. She is a qualified lawyer and experienced development economist with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
Prior to founding her own consulting firm, Sarah was the Head of the State Fragility initiative at the International Growth Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she worked with a number of governments of fragile and conflict-affected states and led a research portfolio on development finance and scaling renewable energy in fragile settings. She has worked closely with government and non-governmental actors in Yemen, Sudan, South Sudan, Myanmar, Timor-Leste and Solomon Islands. She also founded the SGB Evidence Fund, a partnership between the International Growth Centre and the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, which supports collaborations between researchers and practitioners to understand the most effective ways to support small and growing businesses in developing countries. Prior to joining the IGC, Sarah worked for Radon Law Offices in New York City providing legal and policy advice to developing country governments on natural resource governance issues.
Sarah holds an Master's of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Columbia University's School for International and Public Affairs (SIPA), a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the University of Cape Town, and is an admitted attorney and member of the New York State Bar, American Bar Association, and Law Society of the Northern Provinces (South Africa).
